The chowmeinsammich Commenters’ Bill of Rights
The Right To Free Speech: chowmeinsammich shall make no law respecting an establishment of opinion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. We encourage readers to discuss and debate sports, entertainment, politics and whatever else finds its way onto these pages.
The Right To Differing Opinions: Commenters have the right to disagree - especially about Correia and Bridge Colors - but keep it classy. Personal attacks on other commenters will not be tolerated. The busting of chops is acceptable and in some instances, encouraged, but keep it friendly.
The Right To Call Out The Bloggers: We write, therefore, we write stupid things. No one is perfect, especially us. We have biases, can’t spell and partake in a litany of other mistakes on a daily basis. Feel free to let us know when we say something stupid. We can handle it.
The Right To Remain Anonymous: Just because “The Hurricane” came out of the basement, doesn’t mean you have to. When you are here - you are your commenter name. Your face is your avatar. (Should you decide to adopt one.) The information you decide to give about your life away from the keyboard is up to you and you alone. Comments revealing person information about others will be deleted.
The Right To Post Links: Linkage is a powerful and important part of what we do, but we’ll never be able to get everything. You are welcome to post links, but remember, “NSFW” tags save jobs.
The Right To Vote On Trivial Matters: This right shall not be denied or abridged by anyone on account of state of residence, political affiliation, or place of education. (See: World vs. Bob Jones University)
The Right To Click Ads: chowmeinsammich shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and…Oh, just click on the banner ads so we don’t have to knock down your door.
The Right To Have Your Comment Deleted: chowmeinsammich reserves the right to delete any comment that is contradictory to the spirit of the Commenters’ Bill of Rights. Again, we want to promote a friendly environment here and we thank you for your help in accomplishing that.
