What a Bloddy Putz!
One thing you can count on MMB, you cannot insulate yourself from trouble by surrounding yourself with a cadre of high-priced management types to take the blame for your failure or create your version of an enemies list for possible replacement. The streets are full of talk about how those managers drink coffee in their offices all day and entertain other department heads who want only to not face the kids....trying to co-opt the teachers like you're trying to assimilate them into the BORG....how amaturish, yet so self defining....out of your depth and over your head, a typical Correia appointment. After all, would a man so full of himself, yet so stupid and crude possibly surround himself with people he felt were actually smarter than he, with people he could not easily scare and control? Teachers and staff have their OWN sponsors among the remaining politicians in Fall River MMB, and you've forgotten most of them live in Fall River, and that YOUR political cover is widely hated and leaving behind a trail of scorched earth that paints you as worse than Typhoid Mary, which means in the grand scheme of things, they are higher on the food chain than YOU. You don't think those politicians are getting an ear full of horror stories about you and your hired, Rhode Island groupies? You really do know so little about Fall River! Your fall from grace will be quick and final....just like you helped bring about to the last Superintendent when you worked with Correia to complete Fall River's last show trial and night of the long knives. Don't worry MMB, you are not the only ambitious one who works for the School Department.
BAHAHAHAHA!...oh, and one thing you can count on more than anything else...if those MCAS scores do not improve GREATLY, the entire School Committee will treat you the way all people NOT from Fall River are treated...like a thief in the night ! This is as predictable as Correia being an "ID" with shoes!
Where are Mary Sahady's audit reports? I suspect the City as paid for them. Is she holding off to get some additional "add-ons" for her no-bid audit contracts from the new administration? Maybe she can "fix" the problems (again) and collect some more of our tax dollars. Maybe she can even place some more of her people in City Hall finance positions. Has the Correia completed any of the initiatives that they spent all of the free cash on?
ReplyDeleteMy understanding is that NONE of the audits have been completed, and that they have not even as yet received the audit letter for FY 2006! This is an abomination of the highest order and could possibly be seen as legalized extorsion with the complicity of both the Finance Director/Treasurer, with whom she has worked in New Bedford when they both had the same working relationships that exists here, and similar problems as well , and the willing complicity of Mayor's (Lambert and Correia, Title 1 grants in particular, for years MMB was responsible for the programs administration) DOR WANTS the Title 1 audits completed - it's a federal requirement that could result in loss of funds! I think that any irregularities found within Title 1 while MMB ran that program should result in her immediate dismissal. It's a large parcel of funding and I'd be willing to bet that you might find hiring irregularities of unqualified individuals taking place with those funds, given her closeness with Correia!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty ironic that all of the key players are in the school department's grants administration and "independent" audit are still on the scene and making more (and/or promoted) than they did 3 years ago.
